New stuff and contests

Hey, gang, I'm going to keep this one brief tonight (Don't I always say that and it never ends up that way, but I swear I'm going to keep it short tonight, well, because I have stuff to do) but a ton of cool stuff has come down the pipe in the past couple that I wanted to point out in case you haven't seen it yet.

Okay, first up is Out of the Gutter #7

Okay on to electronic publishing.
As most of you know by now, pulp guru Anthony Neil Smith released his fifth novel, Choke On Your Own Lives, via Kindle and for fans of the dark stuff, this one's going to be right up your alley. Plus, good Ole Doc Noir is offering Choke on Your Lies for only .99 cents for the next six days, so make sure to pick up your copy right HERE today before Neil jacks up the price. (Plus, Smith has promised to write a follow up to Choke On Your Lies once he hits 1500 sales, so if you'd like to see a sequel, get the word out about this phenomenal piece of crime noir.)

Alright, last but far from least, Crimefactory favorite Dave White has teamed up with Needle publishing (You know, Weddle and Jacobs.) to release a collection of his Jackson Donne stories called More Sinned Against. In case you've never read White's two fantastic Jackson Donne novels, When One Man Dies and The Evil That Men Do, the short story collection may be a great place for you to start out at. (Although the collection isn't out until February)

But, with Dave putting out the collection with Needle, this got me thinking. I've been toying with the idea of gathering up some of my stories from around the web and some stories I haven't sent out yet and gather them up and offer a Kindle collection. But for one reason or another, I've blown off putting it together either due to other projects, or just plain laziness, but when Dave announced his collection it got me thinking (Plus, a fair amount of being bagged on by White and Stephen Blackmoore) and the next thing I knew, I was writing Weddle and he told me to gather up my stuff and send it his way, and over the past couple of days I've been making selections and cleaning up my unpublished stories.

The one problem is that I suck at titling stories and what not and I'm having the same issue with the collection. So what I did on Facebook tonight was open up a contest to let people title the collection for me and I figured I'd do the same thing here on the blog to folks who aren't on the old Faceybook.

So here's the deal, leave the title that you think would fit a collection of my stories nicely in the comments section and I'll send you a copy of the collection in the electric format of your choice. And for my non Kindle/nook/iPad owning readers, I'll print up some copies of the collection and sign it for you.

Here's the one stipulation of the contest: Be nice, you bastards. I know my writing doesn't appeal to everyone, but be polite for God sakes.
